Where Can I Get My Own AR Trees?

When it comes to creating AR content for the web, an important thing to keep in mind is that licensing & the 3D assets you use can come with a lot of red tape. The most common programs/sources used for tree/folliage creation are SpeedTree, Quixel, and 3D marketplace websites such as Turbosquid or Sketchfab. You can purchase a license or individual assets from these sources, and then use their content in your web-experience. Cost can sometimes be high for these methods, and some of them may not even allow you to put their content on the web.

If you would rather avoid this headache, while still being able to create a high-quality experience, I recommend checking Tree It. This program is available for free, and can be used for creating beautiful realistic tree models. This AR tree experience was created using models from Tree It that were then modified and refined by using Maya.
